Camps Bay United Church Core Values

CORE VALUES – are at the very centre of an organization’s being. These values keep us focused on what we believe and the reason for our existence. Whenever there is uncertainty we re-visit the core values to be reminded of our foundational truths.

We believe that God is the Father Almighty who created all things in existence.
We believe that Jesus Christ is His only Son and our Lord.
We believer that Jesus Christ was miraculously born of the Virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ really died by crucifixion and was miraculously resurrected after three days.
We believe that Jesus Christ bodily ascended into heaven from where, at the right hand of God, he intercedes for all the people.
We believe that the Holy Sprit is God’s agent on earth today.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God.
We believe that no person can have salvation and eternal life without being born again.

MISSION FORMULATED We have formulated a Mission Statement in line with the last significant command Jesus gave: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
